Park Ridge Pirates’ First 100 Gamer
Celebrating 100 Games with the Park Ridge Pirates, Brandon ‘Chez’ Cherry started with Park Ridge in 2014 in our initial year. Transferring over from Springwood where he played all of his junior footy.
Cherry had already established a football association with Park Ridge after attending the Park Ridge State High School and participating in the AFL Academy at the school.
Chez, as he is affectionally known, has always been a crowd favourite amongst the Pirates fans. Not only due to his laid-back attitude and quick grin but also his dynamic and impressive footy skills. He is a rugged and tough player on the field and never fails to make an impact on the game with his fearless flying marks and competitive football smarts. There is also a large section of the crowd who, with his head to toe tattoos, love his uncanny likeness to former Collingwood player Dayne Swan.
He gives his all week in and week out and is a great club-man to have around. In playing his 100th seniors game, Brandon becomes the first Pirates seniors player to play 100 games for the club. So from all at the Pirates, heartiest congratulations to our ‘Chez’ on a well-deserved milestone of 100 Senior games for the Park Ridge Pirates.
