Plans For Major Active Space Development In Park Ridge
by Paul Jackson
Rosia Park – Concept planning will begin soon on turning 62 Hectares of Council owned land into a major sports, nature and recreational facility in Park Ridge. The majority of the park will be left in its natural state to be enjoyed by walkers and mountain bikers via marked tracks and trails. The developed section of the property will include facilities for AFL, Cycling, inline skating, skateboarding and much more.
The master plan includes nature play areas for Pre-school aged children and youth as well as picnic spaces and open grounds for fitness and exercise. The long term concept plan is still in the early stages and strategies for its implementation are under consideration.
A fly through concept video has been created by Logan City Council which can be seen on their website www.logan.qld.gov.au
We need one park in Paddies farm in parkridge
Hi Jaspal. Have you spoken to the developers to see if they have a park built into a future stage?
Looks like half of the forest will be cut. I don’t really think it is sustainable.
I thought there was an endangered spiecies like a bilby or something like that in the current forest that runs on Rosia Road and up Compal st?
