Boronia Heights Fathers Honoured in Fathers day Awards

Federal MP Bert van Manen has recognised two Boronia Heights fathers, Mark and Zachary, in the Forde’s Fantastic Fathers Award.

The award recognises the outstanding contribution of local Fathers and is a great way for kids to show their appreciation for their Dads. All fathers nominated received a Certificate of Recognition from the Federal MP.

The pair were both shocked to receive the Certificate at an award ceremony hosted by the MP who said, “it is important that children continue to show appreciation for their fathers and the male role models in their lives.”

“I wanted to encourage all the children of Forde to nominate their father to show how much they love and appreciate the sacrifices and contributions of our fathers.”

“Over fifty fathers from across the electorate were nominated for a wide variety of reasons, and all are equally deserving of recognition.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed reading through all the nominations and the stories about what dads have done for their kids or in many cases for their step kids as well, or in single parent households.”

“To say that deciding who would ultimately receive the award was difficult would be an understatement. It was a gruelling task to pick just one winner.”
